Love driving this car! Very easy and comfortable. Our baby will be here soon and it is nice and spacious in the back for capsule/car seat, heaps of room in the boot for pram/groceries. Very stylish inside and out.

My Gen1 2006 Atenza has been such a solid, reliable and fun car, that I wanted a newer 2017+ version as its replacement. My wife has a new CX5, and while I enjoy that (and the mazda eco system) I'd much rather prefer a wagon to a SUV/Crossover. My 2017 Atenza is noticeably more refined and luxurious than my original. All the controls/equipment are identical to the CX5 , but the Atenza has more interior space, better handling, lower drag and better fuel economy. I really don't understand why the 6/Atenza isn't more popular. I was initially a bit apprehensive about it being a diesel (coming from petrol), but think my driving style and usage will suit it (noting I mostly cycle and scooter for shorter trips and so there will be plenty of regular opportunities for DPF regeneration). Happy with how effortless and refined the diesel is to drive so far. Just hope it remains reliable because it is likely to be expensive to fix if something goes wrong ... the level and dependence of technology to keep these newer cars running is a bit scary coming from a comparatively simple 2006 model!
