The important factor to me was the ancap safety rating and it waa a plug in hybrid I was after. It had to be a relatively common vehicle ( parts availability etc ) I called it a cellphone with wheels. Unless you are familiar with more modern vehicles be prepared for a steepish learning/getting used to curve.

It's the best choice for anyone cares about environment and also fuel cost. I'm very happy with my new car. Plug in hybrid cars have advantages of both electric and hybrid car and Toyota Prius prime is the best of them. The full charge battery let you drive 62km (flat ) and the hybrid mode fuel usage is extremely low. Love it .

The 2017 Prius is much better than the generation 3 (pre 2016). Quieter, more fuel efficient. I'm averaging about 25km/l without even thinking about mileage.

I don't know why more people aren't buying this style of vehicle. We are a retired couple whose driving history is 90%+ around Nelson maximum 30 kms per day. Having a plug-in hybrid will give us petrol free motoring for most of the time.

Very good fuel economy, very helpful for people who go to work far away at a long distance. I used to spend 300 dollars per week on fuel as I work in Hamilton and I live in Auckland. That price is now only 120. This car has very good fuel economy and I highly recommend to anyone a looking to purchase a hybrid.
